System requirements
Windows x64 laptop or Windows tablet; Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime. Internet for online features. Local reception requires a compatible ADS-B USB receiver, suitable drivers and a 1090 MHz antenna. Compatibility with every receiver is not guaranteed.
Licence
Purchase major version V3 once and use it permanently. Minor updates within the same major version are generally included. A future major version may be offered as a separate paid upgrade; no upgrade is currently sold.
Before you buy
What do I need to use AIRRADAR?
It depends on how you use it: a Windows x64 computer with Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, plus internet access for online features. Local ADS-B reception also requires a compatible receiver, suitable drivers and a 1090 MHz antenna.
Can I use AIRRADAR offline?
After initial online activation, an activated installation remains usable offline. The current edition also checks authorisation in the background at startup when the licence server is reachable. If it confirms missing or blocked authorisation, the application is blocked. LOCAL supports your own ADS-B reception with compatible hardware. ONLINE requires internet; HYBRID adds online data to local reception. External maps, satellite imagery, weather, photos and supplementary data require internet. A physical offline reception test of this release remains outstanding.
Do I need an ADS-B USB receiver?
ONLINE works without your own receiver, but requires internet access. Receiving signals yourself in LOCAL or HYBRID requires compatible hardware. See Local reception and Equipment for guidance; support is not guaranteed for every USB receiver.
Which systems does AIRRADAR support?
The current desktop release runs on Windows x64 PCs, laptops and Windows tablets with Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime. The separate web demo runs in a browser on a sufficiently large screen.
How does the licence work?
You buy major version V3 once. After automatic confirmation of your SumUp payment, the download and activation code are enabled in your account. Download the current Windows EXE and activate AIRRADAR online at first launch. The edition with startup licence checks then checks authorisation online in the background; an activated installation remains usable if the service cannot be reached. Contact us by email for reactivation, for example after changing PCs.
