My AIRRADAR

We process first name, last name, email, language, password hash and verification status for your account. Passwords are not stored in plain text. Verification and reset links expire and can be used once.

Orders & Payment method

We store the order reference, amount, currency, payment status and licence entitlement. Payment takes place on SumUp’s hosted payment page. SumUp receives the data required for payment and processes it under its privacy policy. We verify payment server-side through the SumUp API and release paid orders automatically. Card and banking credentials are not collected or stored on this website.

Cookies

The essential airradar_session cookie expires when you close your browser session. The airradar_lang cookie stores your chosen language for 180 days. This website uses no analytics, advertising tracking or newsletter. Fonts and website graphics are hosted on our server. The demo loads maps and aircraft photos from external providers.

Contact & Security

Contact enquiries containing name, email, subject and message are sent by email for processing. Downloads are logged with account, version and time. Abuse protection uses temporary IP identifiers hashed with a secret key. Server logs may contain IP address, time and requested URL.

Account data is retained while needed for your account and permanent licence. Order records are subject to applicable statutory retention duties. Contact enquiries are deleted after resolution and any necessary evidence period. Expired tokens and security entries are cleaned on the next database access after the daily maintenance interval. Sent queued emails are deleted after 30 days, unsent emails after 7 days and download logs after 90 days. Retention of server logs and mailbox emails follows the respective hosting and mailbox configuration. Incoming and outgoing customer emails are stored in the admin message history for up to 180 days. Messages are matched using the registered sender address; unknown senders are kept separately. Deleting a customer account disables access; business records subject to retention requirements are kept.

Contact us to request access, correction, deletion or other applicable privacy rights. Statutory retention obligations may prevent deletion. We protect data with access controls, password hashing and encrypted transmission. This notice is updated when processing changes.

Hosting & E-Mail

The website and email are hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. According to the provider, its servers are in Germany. The provider processes data necessary for hosting and email delivery; this involves transmission from Switzerland to Germany. No analytics or advertising services are embedded.

Windows application activation and licence checks

Initial activation requires an internet connection. The edition with startup licence checks subsequently checks authorisation with airradar.ch in the background at each launch. It sends the signed activation record containing the licence identifier, product and major version, activation time and generation, a random installation identifier and a unique request challenge. The server also receives your public IP address. The check links the installation to the purchased licence and protects against unauthorised use. Activation is stored locally with protection. An already activated installation remains usable when the checking service cannot be reached. If the server confirms that authorisation is missing or blocked, the application is blocked for that launch. You may request a personal review of an incorrect block at info@airradar.ch. Older editions without this function check the licence locally only.

Maps, weather and other data providers

Depending on the view and function, the web demo and Windows application use the external services listed below. Some map tiles, aerial images, aircraft photos and the map library load directly from your device. The providers then receive your public IP address, technical browser information, request time and requested file or map area. These resources provide maps, flight information and weather, rather than advertising.

In the web demo, our server retrieves flight, weather and supplementary data; providers see our server’s IP address. The demo uses a preset location and does not request your device location. The Windows application retrieves this data through your own internet connection. Depending on the function, requests include the configured location or map coordinates, a place search, callsign or aircraft identifier. They do not contain AIRRADAR account passwords or payment information. External online resources are unavailable without a connection.

Map sources and rights notices

Sources are listed by integrated map layer. The displayed layer depends on map selection, region and zoom level. Rights to maps, images and data remain with their respective rights holders. Attribution does not replace any required usage licence.

Flight, weather and supplementary data

Leaflet loads from unpkg.com, with cdn.jsdelivr.net as a fallback. These CDN services receive your IP address and technical request information. Their infrastructure is distributed internationally. Other listed services may also use internationally distributed infrastructure. The linked provider terms and privacy notices contain further information about processing and retention.
